Golf IF YOU GOLF Follow in the footsteps of international celebrities when you step out onto the golf course adjacent to The BodyHoliday. During his brief speechmaking tour of the West Indies in January this year, former President of the United States Bill Clinton found time to swing by for 18 holes on the championship caliber course. But the ex-president is not the first famous person to grace the fairway. Just ten days prior to Clinton's visit, the legendary Jack Nicklaus stopped by, but his visit to Cap Estate was more about business than pleasure. At the time the St Lucia Tourist Board announced that Nicklaus was entering into an agreement to design an 18-hole signature course at Point Hardy, which is located to the northeast of the present course. A master on the course, Nicklaus also has a solid reputation as a master designer. Over thirty of his signature courses have been ranked in various national and international top-100 lists. The cost of the project is estimated to be around 100 million US dollars, but according to newspaper reports, work could begin as early as this year. With two championship courses within chipping distance of each other, St Lucia is poised to become a major golfing destination.
At The BodyHoliday, our two PGA-certified instructors, Edwin and Terry, can provide invaluable one-on-one tuition at a small extra cost, ensuring that if you run into any ex-presidents or a golfing phenomenon, your game will not waver. To learn more about golf at The BodyHoliday click here.
