A Global Appeal

The Cuban Cha Cha Cha and Salsa, the fiery Argentine Tango, the Caribbean Merengue, American Jive and the energetic Columbian Zumba – dancing has a truly global appeal!

So this June we are once again dedicating a whole month to dance and hoping to inspire more people to take up this amazing exercise and have some fun.

Your Hosts

Kele Baker is our resident ballroom supremo and she will be taking you by the hand and whirling you around the dance floor. But don’t worry you are in good hands. Kele is a professional choreographer and one of the lead choreographers on the BBC’s hit show Strictly Come Dancing.

Dean Hodgkin is international fitness ambassador with over 16 years of experience and we are happy to have him back. Dean will allow you to work hard, have fun and get amazing results too.

Andrew Cuerden is a Latin and ballroom dancer, choreographer and teacher extraordinaire, who is best known for being a professional dancer on series 3 of the BBC’s hit show Strictly Come Dancing.

Vanessa James is a successful Guernsey-based instructor of ballroom instructor of ballroom, Latin, rock ‘n’ roll, Argentine tango, Zumba® and FitSteps®.  She choreographs dance shows for numerous corporate, charity and island events, with clients such as Specsavers and the GSPCA.

So what can I expect?

  • Sixteen daytime dance and dance-fitness classes per week including  Zumba, Disco Aerobics, Street Dance, Ballet Tone, Dance Step, Fit Steps, Jive, Salsa, Argentine Tango, Merengue, and Cha Cha Cha.
  • Daytime Schedule – Three dance classes Monday to Thursday, two on Friday and Saturday and one on a Sunday.
  • Two themed dance evenings including instructions: Latin Night and Rock ‘n’ Roll Night
  • We will also compliment the daily dance schedule with a unique cocktail and themed menu in The Clubhouse.
