Yoga Class at The BodyHoliday

From 2nd – 16th April 2017

Trevor studied at the Iyengar Yoga Institute in San Francisco, obtaining the Master Yoga Diploma; going on to Polestar Education in 2002 to obtain a Diploma to teach Yogalates.

In the past few years Trevor has developed his knowledge further by studying with the British School of Yoga where he qualified in 2003. In 2005 he went on to study with the BSY and qualified as a Professional Relaxation Therapist, and in February 2006 he joined the Independent Yoga Network in the UK as a Registered Yoga Teacher.

In 2008 Trevor became a member of the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPS) as a Grade 3 Yoga teacher.

Trevor covers a wide range of classes including Tai-Chi, Hatha Yoga, Yoga and Meditation, Yoga tone, Yogalates (a combination of Yoga and Pilates) Ashtanga Yoga, Stress Management and Relaxation Therapy.

Hatha Yoga:

This style encompasses all styles of physical yoga. Asanas, (Physical postures) are combined with Pranayama (yogic breathing) to release physical and mental tension encouraging mind and body integration.

Ashtanga Yoga:

This is a dynamic form of Yoga in which the postures are linked into flowing sequences. These improve your flexibility, strength and stamina through this dynamic use of breathing and body heat.

Yoga Body Tone:

Come and challenge your mind and body’s strength as you experience a totally different method of Ashtanga yoga. It is quite an advanced class although the sequences are easy to follow; it helps to tone your body whilst relaxing your mind.

Yoga and Meditation:

A yoga-based stretch programme which will leave you feeling relaxed and renewed, it also incorporates meditation exercises that will bring the body, Mind and soul into a state of balance and harmony.

Yogalates:

This is a new highly effective form of exercise that blends the worlds of Yoga and Pilates, encompassing the flexibility, meditative and weight loss elements of Yoga with the muscle strengthening and toning of Pilates. Yogalates is an ideal balance of body, mind, breathing and movement and will leave you looking your best by improving your posture, strengthening your body and spine and releasing your stress.
