Marlon Devonish: Olympic Sprinter
100m and 200m Olympic sprinter, Marlon Devonish had a successful career in athletics that spanned over sixteen years where he represented Great Britain at every major Championships, including three Olympic Games. As one of the most decorated British athletes, he is most well remembered for winning Olympic Gold in Athens in 2004 as part of the 4x100m sprint relay quartet. This notable achievement was later recognised by Her Majesty the Queen and Marlon was awarded an MBE for his contribution to the sport.
Over the course of his career Marlon held the 200m title as the Indoor World Champion in 2003, British Record Holder in 150m and 4x100m relay, Commonwealth Champion and European Champion and several World Champion Bronze medals in 4x100m, to name a few. His huge medal haul is a testament to the consistent championship performer that he became well known for.
After hanging up his spikes in 2013, Marlon started his own Speed Consultancy, working with professional rugby and football teams and individuals. He also works as a business development coach, consulting and delivering workshops to international corporations.
