A truly restorative vacation, during October BodyHoliday becomes the ultimate yoga retreat. Designed for everyone from the beginner to the more advanced, the month-long programme of activities, led by experienced teachers, offers limitless lessons from sunrise to sunset–featuring Hatha, Ashtanga, Shanthi and Katti yoga and meditation classes. The holiday includes a dedicated menu of yogic foods and teas served at restaurants throughout the resort, as well as an array of special massage and therapeutic treatments at The Wellness Centre.
Our Presenter this October - Jan Foglia
An experienced yoga teacher with qualifications from both the British Wheel of Yoga and the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta centre, I have been practicing yoga for over 40 years, following in the footsteps of my mother. Initially enjoying the physical benefits – strength, flexibility and muscle tone – I also came to appreciate the spiritual and lifestyle benefits, and it is this holistic approach to yoga that I hope to pass on to my students. I believe benefits can be experienced by men and women of any age or fitness level.
As well as running regular classes across Hertfordshire and Essex I have also taught at spas and yoga centres around the world, including BodyHoliday in St Lucia and the Poova Island Ayurvedic Resort in India – and it was teaching abroad that inspired me to organise annual retreats for my own students.
