Jazmin ‘Jazz’ Carlin is the British swimming sensation who recently became a double Olympic Silver medallist at the Rio 2016 games. Prior to this Jazz won double Gold at the European Short Course Championships (2015) in the 400m and 800m freestyle.

Jazz was first recognized when she won Bronze at the 2005 European Junior Championships. A period of development occurred before 2009 saw her win her first senior medal at the World Championships and she has subsequently gone onto to win medals at both the European Championships and Commonwealth Games as well as being a seven time welsh record holder.


BodyHoliday One Mile Swim

The fifth annual BodyHoliday 1 Mile Swim when Jazz Carlin invites swimmers of all abilities to compete for fun in this stunning Caribbean location. Starting and finishing on the resort’s pristine beach, the race on November 7th 2020, will take place in the beautiful turquoise waters of Cariblue Bay.

Double Olympic Silver medallist Jazz Carlin will be at BodyHoliday leading up to the 1 Mile Swim offering morning beach fitness classes to guests as well as leading their bespoke swimming programme – “SwimFit”

One Mile Swim Course

The BodyHoliday 1 Mile Swim is equivalent to 64 lengths of a 25 meter pool. The average completion time is 45 minutes. The one mile race will start on the north side of the Cariblue Beach. Swimmers will swim out and back twice in an M-shape style finishing on the south side of the beach.

Age Requirements

The minimum age for entry is 16yrs

  • Local & Regional Entries – A discount is available if you are a resident of a Caribbean island. Contact us for details.

Registration includes:

  • Swim Cap (must be worn for safety)

  • Post Swim Refreshments

Proceeds from the event will be donated to a local charity teaching young children how to swim and be safe in and around the water. The Charity also develops their water-sports skills giving them employment opportunities in the future.

Jamie Baulch

Jamie enjoyed a career spanning 10 illustrious years at the top of his sport. A talented 400m runner, he had podium success at the Commonwealth Games, World Championships and the Olympic Games. Jamie still holds the British record for the 400m indoors. Since retiring from athletics in 2005, Jamie has enjoyed a career in TV, radio, race commentary and business.

Colin Jackson

Colin is one of the most instantly recognisable athletes to have ever represented Great Britain. He was ranked among the top ten hurdlers in the world for nearly two decades. A multiple gold medallist, world record holder, much loved media personality and inspirational speaker. When he retired from competing, his multi-medal career and infectious personality made him the natural choice to join the BBC’s athletics commentary team.

Leon Taylor

Leon’s passion for everything he does has helped him achieve sustained success at the highest level. A 20 year career in a demanding sport is a notable feat in itself. But his breakthrough successes brought diving to the attention of the British public.
