What is the Buddy Bench Campaign
The Buddy Bench Campaign is a BA initiative, which is used as a tangible tool to create safe spaces in schools. The unique, specially designed, customised benches are used by students to show kindness to students who are being excluded, treated unfairly, or are simply in need of a friend.
Mission
1.To place Buddy Benches in all infant and primary schools in Saint Lucia. (There are 27 schools with benches, 75 schools are in need)
2.Perform professional development workshops for teachers and parents on, “Creating a Buddy Culture at Home and School.”
3.Launch Buddy Ambassadors Clubs in all infant and primary schools.
4.Media campaign promoting empathy, compassion, kindness, and inclusivity in our society.
BodyHoliday as a Buddy Bench Ambassador
As Buddy Ambassadors, we help build future leaders, by empowering children and adults to live and lead by example. We provide them with some of the tools that they need to not just survive, but to thrive, and be the best that they can be through our professional development workshops and curriculum guide.
