Dive Into Scuba in Saint Lucia
The BodyHoliday Dive Centre is home to a world-class scuba programme suited to everyone from beginners to the most advanced. Our skilled and experienced scuba instructors are Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) certified and are here to help ensure a safe and ultimately enjoyable experience.
We provide scuba classes and dives included in the price of your wellness holiday and additional training and underwater adventures for the underwater enthusiast.
Our PADI Dive Centre provides a wide range of courses and a thrilling dive schedule. We feature top-of-the-line capabilities and facilities, including our on-site diving pool, all scuba equipment, and our 46-foot Newton dive boat, “Tiny”. The Scuba Diving team will need to check your fitness level using a medical questionnaire to determine that you have no contraindications, which could create a health hazard during your dive.
Note: If you are planning on taking a course, it’s a great idea to arrange it before you come. We will send you the PADI coursework in advance, saving you from having to do it whilst at the resort.
PADI Resort Diving – Our PADI Resort Diving course is ideal for those interested in a refresher or trying scuba for the first time. It includes a 45-minute classroom session, 45 minutes in the pool, and then an ocean dive to a maximum depth of 20ft /6m on our pristine reef right. An instructor will accompany you at all times.
Under the tutelage of our team of specialists, you can start scuba diving with the Padi Open Water course and, on a subsequent visit, progress to Advanced Diver. There are opportunities through the PADI education programme to become an advanced diver and even an instructor. We also offer Specialist Courses, such as Underwater Photographer, Night Diver, Cave Diver, and many more.
All scuba, air fill and regulators, BCDs, weights, and boat trips are inclusive of the cost of each dive certification course. Wetsuits are available for hire.
Padi Open Water – This course is conducted over a two-to-three-day period. You will need to attend a three-hour session each day, which can be organized to fit your schedule. Once you become certified, you will receive a certification card allowing you to dive with any operation around the world with no further training.
PADI Advanced Open Water Advance Open Water Course – This two- to three-day course certifies you to dive up to 100ft/33m. It entails five dives, two of which are compulsory (Deep Dive and Navigation Dive) and another three chosen by the student and the instructor. Choices include; Boat Dive, Drift Dive, Fish ID, Photography Dive, Peak Performance Buoyancy Dive, Wreck Dive, Night Dive, and Naturalist Dive). PADI Rescue Diver Rescue Diver Course – This course qualifies you to carry out self-rescue or rescue a fellow diver. The theory component entails the study and test of vital aspects of underwater rescue. You can do the study section at home before arrival. The course takes three days or less and teaches invaluable skills, such as being able to help a diver in need and being more attentive to your dive environment and gear. To achieve this certification, you must be First Aid Certified, which can be completed before your course or at the resort. Please note an “Advanced Open Water Certification” is also a prerequisite. PADI Master Scuba Diver – This certification is the highest non-professional rating for a diver. It entails attaining five PADI specialties. This course is ideal for individuals who do not intend on becoming a PADI professional but wish to improve their skills and achieve a highly recognized rating. It will be completed over four to six days, depending on course construction. The price is dependent on the specialties selected. Dive Master – This is the first PADI professional rating and the most sought-after credential. The Dive Master course will take your skills and education to a new level as you cover the physics and physiology behind diving, amongst other key aspects. As a divemaster, you can plan and lead dives and assist Instructors with PADI certifications. Please note the Rescue Diver certification is a prerequisite for this course. Learn More
Assistant Instructor – This is the second PADI professional rating and a great way to complete the first step towards PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor certification. Saint Lucia Scuba Diving Adventures
Enjoy an ideal scuba resort experience with a beautiful reef right in front of the resort and access to incredible dive sites around the island of Saint Lucia. We offer qualified divers a weekly schedule of exciting scuba adventures. You can choose from one and two-tank dives or our special three-tank package. The programme may include reef dives, wall dives, wreck dives, and night dives.
Note: If you plan to dive, you must bring your certification with you, whether it is PADI, British Sub-Aqua Club, or NAUI.
Explore the vibrant reef along the shoreline of our beautiful Cariblue beach. Certified divers can dive without charge. We offer shore dives every Monday to Friday from 1:45 pm to 3:00 pm. (Included in your room rate).
At night, our local coral reef is teeming with life and activity, where you can see stingrays, crabs, eagle rays, octopus, Spanish lobsters, squid, starfish, and puffers, to name a few. Nighttime wonders can also include “Bioluminescence,” a reaction that occurs within certain types of plankton (microscopic sea creatures) that causes them to emit light. Learn More
